Accelerator pedal

The gas pedal (accelerator pedal) on a forklift is used to control the engine speed and the forklift's travel speed. Its main purposes are: Increase or decrease the forklift's speed when driving. Provide power for lifting and hydraulic functions (on many internal combustion forklifts, higher engine RPM increases hydraulic performance). Help the operator accelerate smoothly when carrying or moving loads.
